The Triceratops Dinosaur was a large herbivorous dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous about 68 million to 65 million years ago.
The Triceratops was known for its characteristic look. It had a very big skull, up to 3 m. long and a big neck frill. In front of the head, it had 3 big horns and a parrot beak. The Triceratops weighed about 5-6 tons and was approx. 8 meters long
The Triceratops’s horns may have been used as protection against predators, but most likely it was used as weapons and defenses in battles against another Triceratops.
