What are snow socks?
MATTE Snow socks or should we call them snow socks perform the same function as traditional snow chains. They give the tyre an extra grip that keeps the wheel moving on any surface. Where even the best winter tyre might give up, the snow sock can get the car moving again. As such, they have huge advantages to offer over heavy and cumbersome snow chains. Many new car models and especially many electric cars are not allowed to use thick traditional snow chains - snow socks are a great alternative. MATTE Snow Socks are recognised by all car and tyre manufacturers as an alternative to snow chains. They are TÜV-certified and completely legal to use. The snow sock fulfils the essential requirements of Directive 2001/95/EC on general product safety. Product tested: in accordance with EN 16662-1:2020
